Who we are
Yes, it’s really called Lobster Ferret
“When I was 16, I built my first website. The temporary domain had ‘lobster’ and ‘ferret’ in it. Random, but it had a nice ring to it. I moved on to kobywheeler.com, but bought lobsterferret.com for future use.
When I launched the agency in 2018, the name fit. It was different, memorable, and it described the way we work.”

Meet the team
The people doing the work
No junior account coordinators, no handoffs. The people you talk to are the people doing the work, and we keep our client list small enough that it stays that way.

Koby Wheeler
Founder & Managing Director
Koby built his first website at 16, spoke at TEDx and SXSW EDU as a teen entrepreneur, and started Lobster Ferret in 2018. He sets the strategy on every account and reviews the work that goes out under our name. Outside of work you’ll find him hunting down great coffee or building the perfect playlist.

How we’re different
A small senior team, judged on booked jobs
- 01
You talk to the people doing the work
The strategists running your account are the ones on your calls and in your inbox. Nobody passing messages up the chain.
- 02
Reports built on booked jobs
If a number doesn’t tie back to a paying customer, it doesn’t lead the report. Booked jobs, cost per booked job and revenue do.
- 03
Quick to change course
When the numbers say something needs to change, we act on it without waiting on layers of approvals or long email chains.
The small print
Other things worth knowing
In their words
“I’ve had terrible marketing agency experiences in the past, and Koby and his team have completely changed my mind about working with an agency again. Their audit and proposal weren’t a cookie-cutter package; they were custom-designed to our business needs.”
“They built the brand, built the website, and launched the ads, and we had a recurring customer from ads in the very first week. They nailed it. I knew they would.”
Jenn SpencerCEO & Founder, Scoopy Doo Pros
“I trust them completely with my company’s voice and brand, and I am never disappointed with the results.”
Cynthia HernandezExecutive Partner, Chorbie
“I have worked with Koby and Lobster Ferret for more than 4 years. … You always get direct and quick responses as well as a clear professional who is passionate and knowledgeable at what they do.”
EJ McCoyCEO, Scoop Soldiers
“Executive Lawn Care would not be where we are today without their insight, research, and advice. … We are grateful and blessed to work with Lobster Ferret.”
Mark BrownCOO, Executive Lawn Care
“Koby is incredible! He has such a deep knowledge base to help guide his thinking. The best part of it is, you feel like he is truly part of your team.”
Brian KoonsVP of Development, ADU Geeks
“Going into this I had two bad experiences with supposed website developers. … Not only did [Lobster Ferret] kill it with the website, but Koby helped with so many other marketing tools that have already started paying dividends.”
